[1978 Mercedes 450SL Convertible w/ Hardtop - fire engine red - 166,000 miles All original parts. BRAND NEW TIRES AND EXHAUST FROM CONVERTER BACK!! Rear wheel drive V8 engine 4.5 liter 180 HP Automatic Authentic 14" Bundt wheels Brand new tires Original Bosch stainless steel wipers 3670 lbs I have owned and occasionally driven the car since 2016. I just put a new set of Hankook Kinergy 14" 205/70R14 tires on it ($700 value) and new exhaust from converter back. In good condition. Registered. Motor starts immediately and running strong. Plastic window in original canvas top need to be fixed (an aftermarket canvas replacement costs only $450) I just installed a new refurbished aluminum body AC Servo ($750), and filled up AC refrigerant, but heating and cooling still not working. Suspecting this is related to the vacuum lines, which is a common problem for these models. Front wheel bearings need attention. Minor other fixes needed such as replacing a few instrument light bulbs, brake light sensor. Comes with matching red hard top with tan interior, just de-rusted and touched up the inside.
