2002 Volkswagen GTI VR6 (24V/6-speed)

Description

[2002.5 VW GTI VR6 2.8 Rare Titled in CA No modifications 24V, 6-speed Manual 264k miles Runs - Has codes for camshaft/crankshaft position error, misfire probably all due to engine timing chain/tensioner damage. Engine still runs, but would not recommend driving it more than loading it on a trailer. Pretty clean/straight/unmolested car. Interior has sun damage and rips in cloth. I have a spare matching Jetta Mk4 interior that could be used to replace seat inserts etc. It has a number of small issues: Interior plastic issues Dents on RF fender, hood Seat cloth rips Latch issues on trunk Hood does not latch correctly Clear coat peel Some parts to fix these issues are included. Overall solid car, but definitely requires some repairs. I have put over 200k miles on Mk4 GTI VR6 cars (I have owned 3), and this is a great candidate for some TLC. I was going to fix this car up and have it as a spare driver for 'old time's sake' but I have too many things on. I can point you to some good mechanics to get this fixed and registered again.
