[For sale is our 2005 Toyota Prius Hybrid with all the original factory service paperwork and hard copy records. The car is in great condition with minimal to zero signs of wear or age. It was driven sparingly, as indicated by the low mileage and has been meticulously maintained throughout ownership. It has never been in any accidents or collisions of any kind. It runs and drives flawlessly. Aside from the regular servicing that it has received, recently, we have had it inspected and replaced the hybrid battery inverter (which, after 20 years, is a typical failure item of Prius' of this generation). The inverter is the component that recharges the hybrid battery while driving. This car belonged to my mother-in-law who, due to recent health conditions, limits her mobility and make driving near impossible. My wife and I planned to give this to our daughter when she becomes old enough to drive. Mainly due to the fact that it has high safety ratings, we know the entire vehicle history, and its low mileage. Additionally, we own a 2014 Prius ourselves and it has been a great car. However, we determined the most prudent thing to do at this time is to list it for sale. With the recent closure of Conoco Phillips and multiple other oil refineries in the state of California, gas prices are expected to soar as high as $6.00 per gallon. It remains to be seen if that comes true. However if it does, I imagine this car would certainly help offset any price increases. I think this would make a great car for anyone who has extended, daily commutes and doesn't want to be consumed by transportation costs.
