Description
[I bought this Crossfire brand new in 2005. I have maintained this car for every service, for every replacement parts needed (ie catalytic converters, modules, lights, etc. It received its 100,00 mile tune up and service at 98,000 miles. I just received a major service about a month ago. This Crossfire is mechanically, perfect. Automatic transmission, attached to a 6-cylinder, 215 horsepower naturally aspirated 3.2L SOHC V6. in short, it moves very quickly. The Crossfire drives like a dream and basically it drives like a Mercedes-Benz SLC. Why. Because the car was styled and built in Germany by Daimler-Benz to look similar. In theory, it is a Mercedes. The styling is Mercedes. The suspension is Mercedes. The engine is Mercedes. However, Mercedes service will not work on this car, it has to be taken to a Chrysler service department. The body has clear 3M film all around the car to help defer rocks, etc. It has K&N high flow air filters. Meaning at service time, new filters are not needed, the K&N filters get blown out. Money saver. The Crossfire has never been smoked in and the "cigar lighter" has never been used. The AM-FM-CD radio/player can crank tunes out through a 240 watt amplifier with 6 Infinity speakers and subwoofers. When the top is down, all you hear is music. The top goes down with ease and hides in the trunk. Very classy. The tires are 18-inch in front and 19-inch in back. Cannot be rotated. Michelin tires have always been on the car since I took off the run-flats it came with. Has two doors that close solid. The trunk lid is just as solid when it opens and closes. The air conditioning will freeze you given the chance. The heater will keep you toasty warm. The seats are basically still brand new since I have had seat covers over them the entire time of owning the Crossfire and never actually sat on the seat on its own other than when I first got it.. The top goes down and up automatically and folds into the trunk and covered with a folding door. It has an air spoiler that automatically comes up at 39 miles per hour and closes again at the same speed. The interior is water tight, meaning no leakage during rain storms. For the entire life of the car, I took it for service at Stoneridge Chrysler in Dublin. Wayne, the head mechanic is a qualified Crossfire mechanic. Chrysler demanded that for the Crossfire. If you take it somewhere else, check for a qualified mechanic to work on it. The color, PY3, Yellow-Purl, is a beautiful color and does not look like mustard the way other yellow cars look. Yuck. I get nothing but compliments on the car and those who ride in it say how wonderful it drives. I have some spare parts I will toss in with the car. Front headlamps, key fobs, Crossfire Ad pamphlets, etc. The two listings of features at the end, show most of the car's features. Some others are for the coupe. Any questions please respond back. No negative feedback, please. I am asking $5,000 cash. FIRM. The Crossfire is worth way more due to my loving care to maintain it.
