Description
[This old truck will be best suited for farm/ranch/small mining work. It’s an awesome workhorse. It is not a daily driver! It gets about 12 miles to the gallon. It runs on gasoline, not diesel. This truck does NOT have A/C or power doors, windows or locks. Like I said, it’s a workhorse, not a cruiser. This truck Blue Books for about $5k. Listing for $3k. Why that much lower? It needs some work. The brakes are a little spongy; the back-up lights don’t work, the door seals need to be replaced (I have those, brand new in the package), the power steering pump leaks – not sure where from, and the selector for transfer case jumps out of 4-high back to 2-high if you hit too many bumps. It has to be bungied to the seat belt to stay in 4-high. The washer fluid motor works but the nozzle is plugged up. This truck has an 8-foot bed with 4 D-ring tie-downs inside the bed with mounts on the top rails for more tie-down capability. The tailgate latch mechanism was replaced within the last 1,000 miles. This truck has dual tanks, 19 gallon up front and 15 gallon in the rear, which is needed due to the low gas mileage. All 3 fuel pumps have been replaced within the last 8,000 miles. The tires have about 8,000 miles on them and they do have a locking lug nut on each wheel. It has a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo with an auxiliary port for MP3 players. The stereo also has a detachable face. The windows have new seals. The door seals were purchased at the same time but I didn’t take the time to put them in. It does have a sliding rear window, should you ever want to put a cap on the bed. One of the headlights was replaced because the previous owner hit a turkey. That broke the headlight housing and dented the hood. The dent on the roof was from some silly teenager who thought it would be cool to run the entire length of the truck. (Through the bed, over the roof and down the hood!) Like I stated earlier, this truck Blue Books for about $5,000 but I am asking $3,000. If you need a workhorse for your place, this is the truck for you.
