[THE BENNYMOBILE IS FOR SALE! https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cs1zw92gnCM/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== Welcome to the world's tiniest camper van!! I am so sad to let this car go, and hope that she can find someone who will give her many more adventures. Not only has she been a trustworthy vehicle, but she has gotten me to many backroad campgrounds with excellent gas mileage, and is always the talk of the campsite. The only reason I am giving her up is because I am looking for something to fit more people. The car: - 2008 Toyota Prius - 138,xxx mileage - CAT shield installed - A/C works - New Toyota TrueStart Battery, Group S46B24R, with 84 Month Warranty (warranty start 12/10/24) - Most recent smog test 12/23/2024 (pass) - Oil changed, transmission fluid and brake fluid replaced 11/18/25 - Engine air filter replaced 11/30/25 - New fog lights purchased 11/30/25 - Inspected 11/18/25 (report available) THE BUILD: - The back has three layers: the sleeping platform, a pull out table with built in sink, and the spare wheel well where I have kept the water tanks and extra storage (see videos of build on IG @benny_mobile). - 4” mattress with mattress topper in the back = my best sleep while camping EVER. I am 5’4” and comfortably fit in the back with the hatch closed (allowing me to be completely safe and locked in overnight). A taller person could sleep with a tent over the hatch for more room. - Two front seats are usable, both back seats were removed and sold - Driver’s side back door is converted to the “pantry” - Passenger side back door has a pull out drawer for clothes, and 2nd entrance into the sleeping area - Other storage areas: space for bags behind front seats, tent poles or other skinny items under bed, and small item storage (sheets, etc) behind wall paneling in the back (panels slide open) - The fold out tent from the side was used for a changing area / more space if needed - I previously had running water by using a $20 water pump and hoses that retracted into the spare wheel well. However, for simplicity and ease of cleaning I removed this and have been using a water jug for clean water, and a bucket under the sink for drainage. It would be easy to hook up running water again and I can walk you through what I did if you’re interested. - I had a ton of fun making this - it’s quirky, but totally functional and FUN to use. All materials were recycled from old projects or from used furniture. Please let me know if you’re interested in viewing her, and I would love to show her off. You can check out some more videos of the build on IG (@benny_mobile). I meant to document the whole build but got sidetracked with dog videos… hope you enjoy both! - Extras included: Spare wheel, Thule, tent, mattress, mattress topper. Benny not included ☺️ - Needs: New tires
