Description

[Ever wanted a van with personality, torque, and zero regard for fuel economy? Congratulations. You’ve found it. This is a 1977 Ford Econoline E-250 cargo van with a 460ci Ford big-block V8 and automatic transmission. It’s carbureted, old-school, and unapologetically analog. No computers. No screens. Just mechanical vibes and questionable decisions. The good: • Legendary 460 big block (yes, that one) • Dual gas tanks for extended adventures or extended mistakes • Sliding side door (camper builders, rejoice) • Cargo van — no windows, no shag carpet, no weird smells (anymore) • Interior mostly stripped in preparation for a camper build • Headlights, brake lights, and turn signals all work • Spare tire included • Comes with all paperwork from previous owner The honest stuff: • It’s not currently running • Needs a carb rebuild or replacement (it got gunked up on its last drive) • Needs a battery • Front left tire needs air • Will need to be towed • Old CA plates, expired • I never registered it — DMV may require patience, paperwork, and deep breathing When it last ran, it drove fine until the carb said “nah” and I had it towed home. If you’re comfortable rebuilding a carb, this is a very straightforward resurrection. I just never made the time — if I had, I’d be asking more. Perfect for: • Camper or vanlife build • Shop van • Hot-rod or burnout machine • Someone who owns tools and isn’t afraid of them Not for: • Daily commuters • People who ask “what’s the MPG?” • Anyone hoping to drive it home today Price: $2,500 OBO Cash only. Tow-away. If the ad is up, it’s available. Bring a trailer, bring a sense of humor, and bring someone who knows carbs better than I do.
