It’s a great car and has been very good to us; however, as a commuter, recent maintenance got us concerned, and thus we have switched vehicles to a better commuter car. DRIVABILITY / TRANSMISSION NOTE (PLEASE READ) This Crosstrek drives great and has been very reliable for us. The transmission has never slipped. We investigated a very faint noise (originally thought it might be a wheel bearing). A technician used chassis ears and said the sound is related to the transmission. It is faint and not obvious while driving, but we want to be fully transparent. Because we can’t predict whether it will stay the same or worsen over time, we are selling it priced accordingly and would recommend a buyer who is comfortable with an as-is vehicle rather than someone who needs a guaranteed long-distance commuter.
