Description

[Videos of the car starting and running (engine, dash) are up on Facebook Marketplace and I can send you the links if you message me (Craigslist will not allow me to post them here). Selling my 2006 Acura MDX (Touring) as a mechanic’s special. It starts and runs, but it has a misfire (codes register a misfire on all 6 cylinders) and has been sitting unused for about 2–3 years, so it will need to be towed. Great project for someone who knows these Honda/Acura V6 J35 engines or wants a clean MDX for parts. The Good: * Starts and runs (see the videos) * Good condition black leather interior (2 rips on drivers-side seat, patched with black leather tape, see pic) * Straight body with only a couple scratches and small dings (see pic) * All electronics worked when parked * Clean title in hand * Last and best year of this generation (2006) * 194,098 miles * Tires hold air and it rolls easily for towing The Not‑So‑Good: * Misfire on all cylinders (engine idles at low RPM and can stall) * Has been sitting for 2–3 years * Hood paint is peeling from sun exposure (see pic) * Roof paint is sun-faded * Registration is 3 years expired — buyer handles fees * Needs to be towed (I wouldn’t drive it too far as‑is) *Crack in windshield (see pic) *Rear-drivers window doesn't stay all the way up (hanger holding it up for the rain, see pic) Popular model MDX for mechanics and flippers, J35 engines are cheap to replace (and this one can still be repaired). The 2006 model has the most reliable transmission of the first generation. The leather interior alone is in really good shape overall and the body is clean. Price: $600
