Surface rust can be seen in photos. If I were keeping the truck, I'd sand off the surface rust and coat it, but as soon as we decided to sell, I chose to leave it so buyers can see for themselves. This truck is extremely well sorted mechanically and has one of the cleanest interiors I have ever seen on a 1st gen Tacoma. I am the 4th owner and have records from the 2nd owner going back to 2018. The 2nd owner spared no expense, as evidenced by the stack of receipts I have and the replacement engine installed in 2021 (invoice photo included). The 3rd owner was a mechanic by trade, who continued to care for the truck, and I have used it almost exclusively on trips with my young kids making sure it would never leave us stranded (it did not). Recent work includes: - Oil change and passenger CV boot in September '25 - New radiator in December '24 - Window tint (to protect interior) in October '24 - New front brake pads/rotors in September '24 - LBJs were replaced by PO and at each service with TLC I ask them to check for play. Never been a concern. Timing belt replaced in 2021 with the engine service. The only thing this truck could use is a respray. I personally love the patina look of the original truck and never went this route, but if you're looking for a cherry paint job, it will need to be done. I installed Lloyd mats at all 4 seats and the truck will come with Husky Liners for the front seats. Tonno Pro tri-fold soft bed cover included. I cannot say enough good things about this truck. Looking forward to passing it on to the next owner.
