[Firstly I’m a Mitsubishi Eclipse expert, and I own three different generations of Eclipses. I purchased this car as a daily back in October. Under my ownership I have removed the old window tint it had. Replaced the valve cover gasket and spark plug gasket, as well as put new spark plugs in. This is the best daily, the 2.4L 4 cylinder 4G69 has a great deal of torque off the line. It’s not a 0-60 kind of fast but more 0-30mph it takes every car from the stop light, it’s instant torque and it grips. The automatic transmission has the 4 speed manual tiptronic for spirited driving if you need to go up a hill in San Pedro you just downshift and it goes well. I have also put two brand new front tires in October. The rears are in good shape but a few years old. On the interior the car comes equipped with a Rockford Fosgate sound system, including a factory subwoofer in the trunk. I replaced the factory 6cd changer which was jammed with another factory 6cd changer of the same model car. It now works and the sound system in this car is one of it’s strongest selling points. The seats are more comfortable than my 2019 Mercedes and that’s the truth. A friend told me, if you want reliable, you get a Single Overhead Cam engined car. This car is not about horsepower, it is about comfortable cruising to and from work or around town. It’s Achilles heel is the blind spot takes some getting used to and that’s due to the C-pillar being so thick. Overall this car was engineered to be very stiff. I say this having spoken to a Mitsubishi engineer who worked on the development of this car 20 yrs ago, he agreed with me, it’s a great little car. The clear coat in the paint has sun damage, one area the previous owner had tried to re-clear some spots, overall it doesn’t affect the drivability of this car, it has small dents and scuffs which make it a great daily to park anywhere on the street and not worry. The pictures tell the rest. I was looking for many years to find one with the SE front spoiler and rear wing, as well as the 7 spoke wheels. This is the look when they launched this car, in this color. My price reflects that I don’t want to entertain anybody just kicking tires and lowballing, this car needs to go to a good home if I sell it. I am not in a rush to sell it, I will likely list my 2019 Mercedes for sale too. I also put a brand new battery in it in Oct 2025. Thank you for reading.
