Description

[I am selling my 2016, salvage title Prius V car. I have owned it for 5 years now and it is quite honestly the best commuter car I have ever owned! I routinely got between 42-61 miles to the gallon!!! So let me get all the details out of the way for full transparency…. I purchased the vehicle as a salvage vehicle. According to the original owner, it was sideswiped while parked. The original owner showed me pics of the damage which didn’t look too bad but the insurance company made it a total loss. So the original owner had it repaired at his brothers body shop and eventually sold it to me. Now, I have been happily driving it these last 5 years and it’s been wonderful. Never any issues. Then, back in June of last year, it overheated on me. I had it towed to Toyota and they said the coolant was very low. So they flushed the system and refilled it and I also replaced the battery with a brand new one. The Toyota dealership informed me that the computer had thrown an ‘inverter’ code which they also said was quite common with overheating but I am disclosing it in case it is actually an inverter issue (whatever that is!). I drove the vehicle home, used it for another month with no issues and then parked it in July when I purchased another vehicle. It’s been sitting ever since except for the occasional start up to cycle the fluids. So, it’s time to let this baby go. I’m asking $3000. If I can sell it by this weekend (today is Thursday) I will accept $2500) because I am leaving on a 2 week vacation next week and it would be nice to have some extra play money. If it doesn’t sell until after my vacation, the price will remain firm at $3000. The car is 10 years old and has 185,200+ miles and drives like a dream. I would have no problems keeping this car if I hadn’t already purchased another. Come take a look at it. No, I don’t need help selling it and please don’t shoot me any offers without first coming to see it. Thank you!
