[1985 Mercedes-Benz 380SL 94,312 original miles Clean title Automatic California Non-Op Solid, mostly sorted 380SL. The car starts and moves under its own power, but is not currently drivable and should be towed. When cold, the engine chokes if given throttle. Once warm, it will rev normally in Park, but when in Drive it will only move with light throttle and will not accelerate past a certain point. Based on symptoms, I believe this is due to a weak warm-up regulator (cold start enrichment). There is also a clunking noise from the driver’s rear that goes away when the brake is pressed, which points to rear brake pad hardware. I’ve driven the car short distances down the road, but I would not recommend driving it in its current condition. Willing to provide free local tow.
