Description

[This vehicle is extremely clean and has been fully detailed. This is a Clean Title, two-owner Ford Escape Hybrid with only 95,5XX original miles. It has power door locks, widows, side view mirrors, and driver’s seat with dual zone climate control (The driver’s side can be set to hot and the front passenger side can be set to cold at the same time if desired). It has cruise control with audio/media controls on the steering wheel. It has an aftermarket stereo head unit with apple car play/android auto with integrated back-up camera and bluetooth capabilities. It also has a roof rack with crossbars installed for any rooftop accessories you might want to add like a kayak or bike rack. It even has a class 3 trailer hitch with standard 4-pin trailer wiring harness. The previous owner was the City of Monterey and it has been very well maintained throughout its life. I bought the vehicle in March of 2021 with only 24,695 miles on it. They sold the vehicle because it had a bad brake control module which requires replacement of the entire brake master cylinder assembly. Given the age of the vehicle, they opted to sell the vehicle as opposed to spending the money to fix it. I replaced the faulty unit and have had absolutely no issues with it since. These vehicles are well known to reach over 300,000 miles with routine maintenance, so this thing is barely broken in. As shown in the pictures, the Hybrid battery is still in great shape. One substantial difference between this Escape Hybrid and the following model years, is that it has a hidden button that allows you to use the accessory battery to charge up the Hybrid battery pack if it becomes discharged from non-use. Although I’ve never personally had to use this feature, THIS IS HUGE!!! Without a charged hybrid battery pack, the car is inoperable. In any subsequent non-plug-in Escape Hybrid model year, you would be in for some serious work to try and recharge a low-voltage hybrid battery pack in order to get the car back on the road! This particular hybrid platform was developed by Ford, but most of the hybrid technology that was used has co-patent holdings with Toyota. Here’s a list of some of the most recent services (I will provide all the receipts for parts and services that I have compiled during my ownership of this vehicle): Brake pads all the way around on 4/4/24 @ 81,527 miles (about 14,000 miles on them since being replaced) Outer tie rod ends, both front tires replaced, four wheel alignment done at around 89,000 miles New Ever Start Plus 12-Volt Accessory battery in August of 2024 Transmission fluid drain and fill @ 89,545 on 1/12/2025 Engine oil and filter service @ 94,669 on 12/3/2026 Ignition lock cylinder and switch replaced @ 95,458 on 1/21/2026 (very common failure on Ford vehicles of this era) Front windshield and molding/seal replaced on 1/24/2026 The car comes with two keys along with the original owner’s manuals and the original Window Sticker (TOTAL MSRP back in 2008 was $27,175.00). I am pretty meticulous with my vehicles as far as cleanliness and keeping up on maintenance items (if I know something is wrong, I fix it!) This vehicle is pretty much as good as it can be for what it is and should serve the new owner very well for many years/miles to come. It is however being sold private party, as-is with no guarantees or warranties expressed or implied. Please use the in-app chat function, or email me with any questions or if you would like to come take a look at the vehicle. I will get back to you ASAP. Thanks! Joel
