Description

[2008 Toyota Gen 2 Pimped out Prius 207K miles good condition $3400. This car runs well and usually gets about 50 MPG;we’ve been using this car to commute to Ventura county from the SFV for work since 2020. Know that the engine has 50K miles less than the rest of the car. (see car history section for more details) This car has a number of pimped out, stylish gold upgrades; including a one of a kind, custom made, holographic sparkling gold, happy T Rex hood ornament. The paint is not perfect and could benefit from a wax job; the interior is in pretty good shape; but the neoprene, camo seat covers could use a wash.. Heavy duty Weather Tech floor mats, new tires in 2025 and new front brake rotors and pads in 2026 The car has two minor imperfections: 1= It has a tiny oil leak and we find that we need to add a bit of oil between oil changes. 2= The Bluetooth connection to the car's sound system on the GEN 2 Prius only works with phone calls; it does not stream audio. The work around that we used was connecting a Bluetooth receiver to the AUX audio input jack located inside the center console. (included) This fix worked great for a long time ;but the female mini stereo jack for the AUX audio input has become intermittent (a replacement jack is inexpensive) We just switched to using a Bluetooth speaker. We are only selling the car because we regularly need a larger car to haul stuff for work; so we recently got a Prius V. We accept cash or Paypal Car history In 2014 a friend bought the car with 64K miles from the original owners; this person drove the car until 2019 and put approximately 87K miles on it. In 2019 when the car had approximately 140K miles, the original engine had an unknown problem and was replaced with a JDM engine that had only 90K miles on it. "JDM" stands for Japanese Domestic Market, these engines are low-mileage powerplants imported from Japan, offering a cost-effective alternative for vehicle repairs or upgrades.. We bought the car in June 2020 with 151K miles and replaced the traction battery pack with new cells for $2000 from Greentec auto in San Dimas with a 48 month warranty . We also replaced the 12 volt battery at his time. In Q1 2025 the new battery pack failed and was replaced with a used OEM battery pack for $1800 from Hybrid Battery Repair in North Hollywood that included a 48 month warranty . We also replaced the 12 volt battery at this time. We’ve also replaced various other items along the way such as headlights and the hybrid drive coolant pump. Forget all of the decals that say “ Cool Prius bro; said no one ever” that are sported by other proud Prius owners. This car includes the disclaimer “ You CAN’T polish a turd; but you CAN roll it in glitter” ( my grand daddy told me that right before he died)
